Felicia's Story

Felicia is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, you will need to fill out an application that you can find at pooch.org/felicia

To know me is to love me! At least that’s what it seems like, since everyone who meets me says I am just beyond cute. But I’m not just adorable, I am also an expert cuddler and budding explorer!

Felicia is a sturdy little dog who has taken to walks and adventures like any other dog of stature. She loves putting on her harness and going for walks, exploring the campus with her handler. The feral cats on campus seem very fun to chase when they run, but she can be redirected with some snackies. Our trainer even took her off campus and reported that she settled well in the car and enjoyed meeting new people (even if it was just for her spay appointment!).

Due to her size, Felicia can be a little nervous around larger dogs. She will vocalize in order to have them keep their distance when she is in one of the classroom enclosures. However, she is unbothered when they join on walks. It is likely that her vocalization stems from comfort in her area and an inability to escape what she perceives as a possible threat.

Felicia is having a small mass removed on 2/11 and it is being sent for a biopsy. She will be available for adoption once we have a better understanding of if the mass is benign or if there is a malignancy we will need to deal with.

Felicia is fully vaccinated, spayed, had a dental on 2/11, and is ready for her forever family!

Felicia is showing that she is likely house-trained to potty pads. When she is given opportunities to go out, she will go outside. A new adopter will need to be attentive to her potty needs to get her fully trained, but pee pads will be a good option for the house to ensure she knows where to go inside if no one is around to take her out.
