I am 2.5 years old and weighs 10 pounds. I need a new home because I was released from a breeder.. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.<br/><br/>I’m a sweet-natured girl who is learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Since coming into foster care, I've been slowly discovering what it means to be loved, safe, and cared for. I'm still a bit shy and skittish, but every day I make a little more progress. I'm even starting to learn my name and will come closer to my foster family when I'm feeling brave! I’ve even been caught having fun with stuffed toys a couple of times!<br/><br/>I absolutely love my bed and my soft blanket, especially when they're inside my kennel. That's my safe place where I can relax and feel secure.<br/><br/>I get along well with other small dogs and would enjoy having a confident canine friend to show me the ropes. Because I'm still learning about leashes and being out in the world, I need a securely fenced yard where I can safely explore and do my business while I continue working on leash training. <br/><br/>I would rather not be rushed into new situations or have people expect me to be a lap dog right away. I need a family that understands puppy mill dogs and is willing to give me the time, patience, and encouragement I need to blossom. If you're willing to let me move at my own speed, I promise I'll continue gaining confidence and showing you just how special I am. <br/><br/>Fawn is a very sweet girl who is making steady progress every day. She is looking for a patient adopter who will celebrate the small victories, continue her confidence-building journey, and provide the secure, loving home she deserves. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.<br/><br/>MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.<br/><br/>If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application<br/><br/>Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
