She understands humans better than we understand ourselves. She will train you. She is obedient and complacent, and a good example of why her foster home loves dogs over age 3. Dogs in middle age are already trained, are past the high energy & destructive stage, and are simply low maintenance fun and cuddles. Farah is so sweet and loving that her finders didn't want to give her up, but they knew she needed more than what they could provide. Farah is easy going, grateful and always happy to see you. She is submissive to people and other dogs, and gets along with everyone. She loves to quietly stand at your side, put her head under your hand for pets, or on your lap. She would be great for a family with kids, or a first time dog.

Background

Farah was found as a stray just after hurricane Beryl in NW Houston in Spring branch. She showed up in her finders' backyard. Her finders have a small dog and 12 yr old daughter, and Farah got along with everyone immediately. They fed and sheltered her in their garage, and cared for her until power and internet had been restored and she could be transferred to a foster home with GNAR. Her finders stayed in touch with her foster home to make sure she was doing well and donated towards her vet visits. Farah was already spayed when found.

Compatibility
Dogs - yes
Cats - yes
Kids - yes

Good Neighbors Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption Policy Visits are available by Video chat with the adoptable pet's foster home (Facetime or Zoom). Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com and we will get you in direct contact with the volunteer who fosters the pet you are interested in. GNAR is all foster home based and volunteer run. We don't have a facility for visiting animals, but pets are fostered and socialized in home settings by volunteers. This makes our adoption process more personal, as every foster home knows their adoptable pets well, and keeps our overhead costs to a minimum. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to foster, donate or volunteer. All adoptions require an application to be submitted and screened. After approval, payment of an adoption donation holds the pet for you. It takes about 2-3 days to complete the application process, from initial inquiry to pick up of the pet. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to request an Adoption or Foster2Adopt application to be sent to you. All adoptions are conducted at a local pet store.
