Farah A212390 VIP's Story

VIP: Farah is just a sweetheart! She is about 18 months of age and is housetrained. Farah knows the commands sit, stay, come and lie down. She attended the Plano Balloon festival and was great with the other dogs. She met so many people and was super sweet and loved getting pets from the many people there. She does great with kids! Farah also went on a group dog walk to a local park along with other dogs at the shelter. She was very tolerant and patient while being leashed up and she really enjoys pets and belly rubs. She may have never ridden in a car before but once loaded into the car, Farah did very well during the ride and laid down the entire time. Farah walked well on leash and got along with all the dogs in the group. She also had a nice encounter with the public along the walk. She was very friendly and happily allowed people to pet her. Farah does have some “big world” fear, but she remains curious and willing to explore. Farah had a meet and greet at the shelter with a golden retriever, and she was awesome. She was very interested in the other dog, but the other dog was not as out going. On leash she was pawing and really wanted to play. After being let off leash she ran up to the dog and play bowed. When the other dog seemed not interested, Farah gave her space. She grabbed a tennis ball and ran up to the other dog, dropped it at the dog's paws, and then took a step back. LOL!! After the other dog warmed up they chased each other around the yard.
Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done.
Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. When asking about an animal, please provide the identification number that starts with A.
For more information, please call the shelter at 972.769.4360.
