It’s time for Fannie to find a home!

Fannie is a friendly 7-year-old shepherd mix who's looking for a loving forever home. She was surrendered in mid-December due to her owner's illness but despite this major change in her life, she is doing her best to adapt.

Sadly, Fannie has only received one adoption inquiry in the four months that she's been with us, and we're not sure why.

Fannie loves being around people and is always eager to cuddle. She's also a smart and attentive dog who loves going for walks in the countryside. She walks well on the leash, and she has excellent recall. She also enjoys playing with her ball as well as outings in the car.

Fannie is quiet and well-behaved in the house, but she prefers to have people around her so her ideal home is one where she is not alone for long periods. She loves to be outdoors so a home in the country would be perfect for her.

Fannie has a low to medium energy level and doesn't need an overly active lifestyle. However, as she is a little overweight, for optimal health, she should get daily exercise.

When meeting other dogs, proper introductions are a must as Fannie has a somewhat dominant personality. She will do best as the only dog in the home and she cannot live with cats, but she is fine around horses.

Fannie may be a little older, but she has a lot of living left to do and lots of love to give. She will be a loyal companion to her lucky adopter. If you can be the one to give lovely Fannie the happiness and comfort she deserves, we'd love to hear from you.

Fannie est une charmante berger allemand mixte de 7 ans qui nous a été abandonnée en raison de la maladie de son propriétaire.Malgré ce changement majeur dans sa vie, elle est une chienne joyeuse qui aime les gens et qui adore les câlins.

À environ 36 kilos (85 livres), Fannie est en surpoids et pour une santé optimale, elle devra perdre des poids, Depuis son arrivée au refuge, elle est soumise à un régime alimentaire plus restreint (elle était autrefois nourrie gratuitement et était plutôt "gourmande") et elle a également une nouvelle routine d'exercice quotidien.

Son niveau d’énergie est de bas à moyen, ce n'est donc pas votre partenaire de jogging idéal, mais elle adore ses promenades et marche plutôt bien en laisse.
Fannie s'entend bien avec les autres chiens de sa taille, mais il serait nécessaire de procéder à des présentations officielles. Elle n'est pas à l'aise avec les petits chiens elle ne peut pas vivre avec des chats.

Fannie est peut-être un peu plus âgée, mais il lui reste encore beaucoup de vie à faire et beaucoup d'amour à donner. Si vous pouvez offrir à cette adorable chienne le foyer pour la vie qu’elle mérite, communiquez avec nous!
