Fani's Story
Meet Fani – A Beautiful Soul Ready for Her Safe Place

Fani is a quiet, gentle girl who’s been through more than her fair share—but you’d never know it by the way she looks at you with those soft, trusting eyes. She may be shy at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a dog just waiting to feel safe, loved, and understood.

Fani is the kind of dog who will thrive in a calm, patient home where she can take her time settling in. She’s not the dog who will bound into your arms on day one—but give her space, kindness, and a steady routine, and she’ll blossom into your most loyal companion. Once she trusts you, her affectionate side starts to shine, and it’s truly special.

She does well with calm, respectful male dogs but can feel overwhelmed around pushy or high-energy dogs, especially females. With the right match and slow introductions, she could enjoy the company of another dog who respects her space. She also wouldn’t mind being your one and only—she just wants to feel safe.

Fani is crate-trained and has wonderful indoor manners. She enjoys peaceful walks, a cozy bed, and your quiet companionship. No chaos, no pressure—just the chance to be a dog in a home where she’s accepted exactly as she is.

If you believe in second chances and have room in your heart for a dog who needs a little extra grace, Fani just might be the one. The reward of seeing her trust and love again? That’s the kind of magic only a dog like Fani can give.

———————————————————-
The adoption donation for Fani is $250.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention (age appropriate).

If you would like to meet this dog, you must have an approved application on file and be willing to travel to the Boardman/Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio area for a meet and greet.

Applications will be reviewed/approved and each dog will be placed in the home that can best meet their individual need. A successful adoption is our goal. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of any dog.

We require you call your established veterinarian asap to schedule a wellness visit.

—————————-

Our application can be found at the following link: https://apaprescue.com/adoption-application

—————
**IMPORTANT **

Please note that when you use the “start an inquiry/introduce yourself” feature it is NOT an application to adopt. Don’t waste your time clicking on it!

Adoption donation policy effective 1/1/23:

Under a year - $350 cash/check/givebutter $360 PayPal/Venmo
Adult (1-9) - $250 cash/check/givebutter $260 PayPal/Venmo
Senior (10+) - $200 cash/check/givebutter $210 PayPal/Venmo

We apologize for the inconvenience of a service fee on digital platforms. Each year we lose hundreds of dollars for their service fees, and their fees continue to rise. Thank you for helping us cover those fees. Every dollar we receive matters and those lost dollars mean less dogs we can help.

We are a 100% volunteer group that utilizes foster homes. We do not have a shelter/building. Thank you for understanding.
