Famish's Story

Famish is an approximately 8 month-old Pointer mix currently in foster care in Marathon, Texas. She is equal parts adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and cheerful little shadow. This sweet gal has the kind of personality that brings energy and joy into a home while still knowing when its time to settle in and relax.

Famish is currently thriving in foster care and has already checked off a lot of impressive puppy milestones: she's housetrained, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, learned the house routine quickly, and picked up sit in no time. Her foster says she's incredibly eager to learn, and she watches her people closely and truly wants to understand what you're asking of her.

She loves other dogs, does well around kids, and even politely ignores the chickens in her yard (which feels worth bragging about). She enjoys playing with canine friends but is also happy entertaining herself when needed. And when the excitement winds down? Famish is all about affection. She loves cuddling up and even enjoys watching TV with her people.

Like any growing puppy, she's still polishing a few skills. Leash walking is a work in progress, and she's learning that younger kids aren't always looking for enthusiastic puppy jumps and playful nibbles. The good news? Famish is smart, engaged, and eager to keep learning. Herr ideal home would be an active one that includes playtime, adventure, and plenty of opportunities to be included in everyday life. Bonus points for a kiddie pool, rainy weather, or somewhere she can safely enjoy water.

Her foster says it best: Famish has brought a light into our home with her puppy personality! She knows when to calm down and just relax with us but is up for play time anytime! She's a sweet girl who deserves all the lovin!

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt
