Faith's Story

Faith is a 5-year-old Lab mix weighing about 67 pounds, and she’s the definition of a loyal best friend. With her gentle heart, soulful eyes, and calm nature, Faith has a way of making everyone around her feel instantly at ease. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention—she just wants to be close to her people.

Faith is fully house-trained and enjoys the freedom of lounging wherever she pleases around the house (though if you let her, she’d happily choose your bed every time). She tolerates a crate when needed, but she’s much more comfortable being part of the family and relaxing nearby.

This sweet girl has a wonderfully balanced personality. She’s lower-energy overall and perfectly content spending her days hanging around the house, soaking up yard time, going for long walks, or following her favorite humans from room to room. While she’s mostly laid-back, she still has playful moments and enjoys fetch, stuffed toys, car rides, and the occasional zoomie-filled burst of fun.

Faith is incredibly well-mannered and impressively responsive. Her foster says she only needs to be told something once before she understands a boundary. She responds beautifully to redirection, walks nicely on leash, and already knows some obedience skills. She has done well with dogs, and she's respectful of cats, carefully reading their cues and backing off if they need space.

While Faith can be a little shy or submissive at first, it comes across as gentle sensitivity rather than fear. She’s quiet, adaptable, affectionate, and deeply loyal once she feels comfortable. Her foster describes her as the kind of dog who simply wants to be near her person at all times.

Faith has not been directly exposed to children in foster care, but she shows a lot of interest in neighborhood kids and is believed to have the temperament to do very well with respectful children.

Faith truly would thrive in just about any environment—as long as it includes love, patience, and a cozy spot near her people. If you’re looking for a calm, devoted companion who will happily be your shadow, Faith may be the perfect match for you. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if adopters are 4 months or older.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

For information about this dog's breed(s), visit:
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm

To fill out our adoption application, go to:
http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html
