EVITA - calm, quiet & easy!

EVITA is such a special dog! <br/><br/>***She is being fostered in NYC (Upper East Side by Central Park) and is ready for a meet and greet with any potential adopter!***<br/><br/>She is ~12 lbs and estimated to be about 5 years old as of May 2026 (her paperwork says 2 years old but we think she’s 5ish). She is clearly a Chihuahua mix, likely with a terrier of sorts!<br/><br/>We really can't say enough good things about Evita. Overall, she is a very sweet, gentle, very calm, quiet, and easy-going low-maintenance dog who we think would be great for a first-time dog owner or for someone who wants a chill work from home fur friend. Check out her video as it really gives you a sense of her personality.<br/><br/>Evita loves human company. She loves pets and kisses but isn't overly demanding about it. She is a very sweet and quiet companion! She is go with the flow. <br/><br/>Evita has so many great attributes that come easily to her. <br/>-Firstly, she is crate trained! She sleeps well throughout the night in it and does not have any accidents. She does all her business out in the yard.<br/>-She does well on a leash! She walks nicely and doesn't pull.<br/>-She gets along wonderfully with other dogs! She's currently being fostered with many other dogs of varying ages has does well with them all. <br/>-She travels excellently in a car; she is calm quiet and relaxed throughout all car rides. No car sickness that we have observed.<br/>-While we haven't firsthand observed her with children, we see no reason why she wouldn't be good with calm and respectful children in the home, and especially older children.<br/><br/>On an energy scale, she is low-energy. She is SUPER calm and easy going. She's a real sweetheart! We think she'd be great for apartment living.<br/><br/>She is spayed, heartworm negative, has great bloodwork and is up to date on vaccinations.<br/><br/>HER STORY: Evita was anonymously left in a school parking lot in crate overnight along with 2 other dogs. The rescuer, whom we work with regularly, is a teacher at the school and found them there the following morning. We think the person who left them there had good intentions to ensure they were safe because this is not the first time that dogs were left at this school. <br/><br/>Please feel free to email us with any questions about her!
