YES! She loves them. (nonetheless, it's important for kids to respect dog’s belongings and boundaries)
• HOUSEBROKEN? Not 100% yet. As rescues that lived on the street or tile/outdoor surfaces, they'll need some time to adjust. Most of our dogs adapt within 1-2 weeks of consistent training.

She was found tied to a post outside a veterinary clinic — left there by someone who didn't come back. Skinny, covered in fleas and ticks, and so frightened of people that even a gentle approach made her shrink. For a dog named Estrella (meaning star in Spanish), there wasn't much light in her eyes when she arrived.

That changed almost immediately once she was taken into foster care. "Now she runs and plays with the other dogs," her foster Diego says. "She's lost her fear of people completely." The transformation isn't subtle — this is a dog who went from cowering at human presence to seeking it out, her sleek black-and-white frame and those bright amber eyes radiating nothing but joy now.

And then there are kids. There are dogs that tolerate children, and then there are dogs that genuinely thrive around them — Estrella is firmly the latter. She's pure energy and tenderness around them, the kind of presence that makes kids feel like they have a best friend and makes parents feel completely at ease. Whether or not your family has children, you'll never have to think twice about how she'll react when the neighborhood kids approach her (hint: they'll fall in love with her).

These days Estrella is all enthusiasm and forward momentum — zooming on walks, batting her toys around, living at full volume in the best possible way. She's housetrained, healthy, and carrying no apparent baggage from the clinic parking lot where her story could have ended very differently.

Estrella needs a family that can match her pace — space to move, a good long walk built into the daily routine, and people who want a dog that shows up fully for life every single day.

Will you give her the chance?

*************************

📝 Ready to apply?
