Hi, I'm Espresso Martini! The name is perfect for me since I will be your own supply of energy and fun!

I'm about a year old and 50lbs. I was stuck in 1 crate with my 3 siblings all my life before coming into rescue, so you can imagine how happy I am to be able to run around and play now! With that being said, I can take a little bit to settle down in my crate but now that I have my own to sleep, I'm getting better with it every day. I'm also mastering potty training and haven't had an accident inside yet.

It's been really fun playing with other dogs and even hanging out with cats. My foster tells me I'm very sweet and submissive with other dogs and absolutely love to love any humans. I'm working on jumping but take direction really well. I also get to brag about how quickly I'm picking up on leash training too. Going on walks is awesome and I would love for my forever family to take me on one each day!

As part of my adoption fee, I will be spayed and treated for heartworms if I test positive (so far my brothers have tested negative so hopefully I will too!). I'm up to date on shots and ready to meet you!


This dog is a Benefactor Dog. His/her increased adoption fee will allow them to act as a benefactor to other dogs in our care that require special medical care and a better chance at adoption.

An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

Benefactor Puppies under 12 months - $550
Benefactor Dogs over 12 months - $450


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
