Meet Esme! <br/><br/>Esme came into our care through our partnership with local animal control. This sweet brindle babe has been quietly figuring out the world around her and once she's had a moment to settle, she lends her trust freely and gently. <br/><br/>She may be guarded at first, but give her a little time and she'll melt right into you, leaning back for comfort whenever the world feels like a lot. Esme does best with calm, steady energy and when you meet her where she is, she will readily reciprocate. (Soft voices and snacks help!) When she's feeling herself, she loves a little collaborative play and can often be found trotting around the yard with a stick that she's very proud of! Esme is looking for the chance to bond with her person and be their new best friend. She's got so much love to give and she's just waiting for the right someone to give it to! <br/><br/> Knows "sit" and "shake" and takes treats gently<br/> Enjoys connection and snuggle sessions!<br/> Shy in new situations, but warms up genuinely and quickly with patient people<br/><br/>Dogs: Esme is dog social.
