Hi there, here's a little bio we wrote up for Ernie. I hope it helps.<br/><br/>Meet Ernie! This 1.5 year old terrier mix is looking for his forever family to fall in love with his soulful brown eyes, little roars, sploots, and tappy toes. When he's not romping through the house like the puppy tornado that is is, he loves to snuggle and nuzzle into your neck, sleep in tiny puppy balls, and casually watch the world around him. He is great on road trips and loves most people he meets. <br/><br/>Ernie's forever family should have a calm and low stress environment. Ernie is believed to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix with a very high prey drive. Although he is working on his manners and impulse control in moments of overstimulation, he still requires ongoing management and training to help him learn how to control his terrier brain. He is not recommended for homes with cats, smaller animals, or small children because of this and would do well in a calm environment with older children. Ernie has been diagnosed with a mild/grade 1 luxating patella in both back knees so long walks aren't really for this guy. Multiple short walks is where it's at with lots of couch snuggles in between. Ernie has show some hesitancy around men. We aren't sure why, but he seems extra cautious and barks pretty heavily at first.
