Meet Ernie
From the shivering, shy and timid dog that he was when he came to us, he has just absolutely blossomed. He loves being loved and that little tail just goes 90 mph when he's getting a good all over rub-down. He'll snuggle up close and is now learning to sit on laps.
Since he's been with us he has learned to kennel up and also to sit. We've used treats for training, (freeze dried chicken is his favorite). If he thinks you have some his bum hits the floor immediately and he gives this soulful look that I can't resist.
Ernie seems to get along with other dogs and loves to play. He has a tendency to hump but we are hoping since he is now neutered that urge will go away. We are unsure how he is with cats, but at this point, he hasn't shown any growling or aggressiveness towards anybody or anything.
Other than day 1, he has had no accidents in the house and he lets us know when he needs to go outside.
Ernie is just the perfect little gentleman. Give him some love and attention with the occasional treat thrown in and you'll have a devoted friend for life.
