Enzo's Story

Those eyes! That face! Meet Enzo, a handsome little DoberDoodle puppy with a laid-back personality, a playful side, and some of the prettiest eyes you've ever seen. Seriously, one look and you might just fall in love!

Enzo is one of seven beautiful puppies born on August 16, 2026. Their mother is a gorgeous red/chocolate Doberman, and their father is a large black Labradoodle. With this combination, we expect these puppies to grow into intelligent, loyal, long-legged, athletic dogs who will need families committed to providing both physical exercise and mental stimulation.

Now, let's talk about Enzo!

Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm a pretty easygoing guy who knows how to appreciate the finer things in life, like a really comfortable bed, a favorite chew toy, and a good nap. I enjoy being near my people, but I'm also a little independent when it comes to bedtime. When I'm ready to call it a night, I actually put myself to bed in my kennel. What can I say? A guy likes his routine!

Don't let my relaxed personality fool you, though. I've got plenty of puppy energy, and one of my favorite activities is wrestling with my brother. We have a great time together, and I'm always up for a little puppy mischief!

I'm also working hard on my puppy manners and learning the rules of being a good boy. I get along wonderfully with all the resident dogs in my foster home, and I absolutely love kids. Really, I'm not too picky about who gives me attention. If you've got some love to share, I'm happy to accept it!

My foster family says I'm smart, playful, trainable, and a pretty well-rounded little guy. I'm still young, so there's a whole world of things for me to learn and explore. I'm hoping to find a family who will help me grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be.

And if you happen to fall in love with my gorgeous eyes along the way, well, I certainly wouldn't blame you!

A little more about the DoberDoodle litter:

These puppies currently have wiry coats and shed very little. However, because they are mixed breeds, they are NOT considered hypoallergenic, and their coat texture and shedding may change as they mature.

While they are absolutely adorable little puppies now, they will likely grow into large, active dogs with big brains and plenty of energy. Consistent training, socialization, physical activity, and mental enrichment will be important throughout their lives. These are not puppies who will be happy with just a backyard and an occasional walk!

Enzo needs a family who understands the commitment of raising an intelligent, active puppy and is ready to provide the training, patience, exercise, and love he deserves.

In return, you'll get a loyal companion, a playful wrestling buddy, a professional chew-toy tester, and a handsome best friend who might even put himself to bed when he's had enough excitement for the day!

Could Enzo be the missing piece of your family?

Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip.

To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed.

Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.

To request an application or for additional details, please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org

Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.

Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to approve or decline any adoption application based on the best interest of the dog.
