Emmy's Story

Meet Emmy! 🐾💜 This sweet girl is a 5-year-old Mastiff mix who has been through more than her fair share. Emmy recently had her cherry eyes removed and was spayed--all in one day! Now she's here at the shelter recovering, and we would absolutely love to see her finish her recovery in the comfort of a loving home. Emmy is a very sweet girl, walks nicely on a leash, and doesn't seem to mind the cats. She is a little dog selective, so if you have other animals in your home, we'll definitely want to do meet-and-greets to make sure everyone is a good fit. And yes... Emmy is a BIG girl weighing over 100 pounds! But that's just 100+ pounds of love waiting for someone to give her a chance. ❤️ She's been through enough. Now she deserves a soft place to land, a comfy bed, and someone who will love her while she heals. Come meet Emmy today! 🐶💜Extra text added to all description

Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control's Adoption Policy

How our Adoption process works: Our Adoption Fee is $50.00 for cats/kittens/dogs/puppies. Adoption fees cover the animal’s first vaccination, flea/tick treatment & de-wormer on all adult cats, dogs, puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. We require all adopters to fill out an adoption application, provide a valid photo I.D., and upon an APPROVED adoption application, obtain a prepay receipt from the Veterinarian of their choice for the spaying/neutering and the rabies vaccination. At the time of pre-payment, you will also schedule an appointment date for the surgery and vaccination. Unless an animal is already Spayed/Neutered and current on their Rabies Vaccination all adoptions are not final and are considered to be on Foster to Adopt basis until proof of completion of Spay/Neuter and rabies vaccination been received by JCAS. The adopter has 60 days to complete Spay/Neuter and Rabies vaccination and return the proper proof of completion.
