Emmet's Story

Emmett
3YO
65 Pounds
Kid & Dog Friendly
Crate & Leash Trained
Fostered in Bend, OR

Hi, I'm Emmett! I am classified as a professional snuggler, parttime acrobat, and fulltime love bug. I come with all of the Boxer antics that you know and love, but my default setting is "couch potato," hard to believe since I am only 3, but every so often I burst into highenergy mode, with rolling, flipping, and the occasional leap over furniture. It's my own brand of doggy parkour.

I adore my foster sister and would love a friendly dog sibling who can help me keep learning the ropes. I'm working hard on my training and catching on fast, but I still need a family who will help me continue improving. I walk nicely on leash... unless I spot a squirrel, cat, or dog, in which case I sometimes forget my manners. As I mentioned above, I am only 3 and am a work in progress. I'm sometimes unsure when meeting new dogs out in the world, so I appreciate slow, thoughtful introductions.

I bond deeply to my people, so I cry and feel stressed when I am left alone. I have been doing better, building my confidence and sticking to a routine. Having a dog sibling and humans who are home often really helps me feel secure. I also am a great errand dog and stay relaxed in the car, so if you are up for it, I would love to accompany on your outings and adventures. If you're looking for a sweet, silly companion with a oneofakind personality, I'm your guy. Overall, I am just a little love bug looking for my forever family. Northwest Boxer Rescue's Adoption Policy
We'd like to tell you about our Adoption Process. First, all of us at Northwest Boxer Rescue are volunteers and no one is paid. We do the best that we can to respond as timely as possible, but we also have dogs, children, spouses, jobs, families, and homes - just like you. So, please be patient with us. Completing an application is the first step in adopting a boxer from NWBR. We try to respond to the request as soon as possible and contact you by phone once we have received the application. Tell us what dog you are interested in on the application. We are glad to answer any questions you have. We want to get to know you and make sure the dog you adopt is the right wiggle butt, not just a dog. It is not only important that you will be happy with your new family member but that your new family member has found their perfect forever home. Many of our dogs come from rough backgrounds and deserve great homes. We spend a lot of time with these guys and try very hard to get to know them as we
