Emma's Story

Easy like Sunday Morning? Yep, that's our Emma. This girl lives for cuddles. She's never met a stranger, and her snuggle game is real strong.

But don't get us wrong - she's also a playful kiddo. She keeps her adult foster sibling entertained with games of tug-o-war and keep away. Is he a big German Shepherd? Yes. Does Emma think it's a fair match in spite of how tiny she is? Absolutely. She's got self-confidence for days.

Emma is only four months old, so most of her skills are a work in progress. That said, she's hard at work on crate training, potty training, and leash training. She's eager to please, so we have no doubt she'll grasp all of them.

In addition to loving humans and her foster dog sibling, she's also doing well with introductions to the resident cat. It's slow going, but she's only shown curiosity. She's so young and mellow that we have no doubt about her ability to get along with anything!

Emma is not yet spayed and still needs to finish her vaccine cycle, but she is available as a foster-to-adopt. This is when a future owner takes over as the foster, and once all the adoption criteria are met, they complete the process!

Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some pit, and you name it! They are always loving and grateful.
We do not know what breed Emma is, possibly a lab mix, maybe some beagle, maybe some min pin - who knows! Whatever she is, it's a darling combo. We anticipate she will grow into a small/middle-sized adult, possibly around 25-35lb, but of course, they do sometimes surprise us!

If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out the application here. There is a $400 adoption donation for Emma:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog
