Ember's Story
Hi, I’m Ember, and I’m estimated to be almost five years old! I’m Arctic Rescue’s longest resident, but that just means I’ve had extra time to learn, grow, and show everyone what an incredible dog I am. I was rescued from a rural shelter in Utah when I was around four years old, and since then my amazing foster has helped me make so much progress.

I’m a spunky, fun-loving girl with so much personality! I absolutely adore human affection and am happiest when I’m close to my people. I’m known for giving the best hugs, and I have a sweet, silly side that will keep you smiling every day.

I get along best with male dogs that are my size or larger, and as always, slow and gentle introductions are best. I would prefer a home without small animals, and I’d do best with children who are teenagers or older.

I’m an active girl who loves walks, hikes, and even pulling my human on their bike! I’m very treat motivated, enjoy learning, and I’m working on loving my crate more every day. I also do best when fed separately from other dogs.

If it sounds like I might be the gal for you, please contact Arctic Rescue. My forever family could be just around the corner!

Please note: All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “yes” to “Needs Experienced Adopter.” This is because Northern breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend researching the breed before pursuing adoption if you do not have prior experience.
