Ember's Story

Meet Ember – the spark you didn't know your life was missing!

Ember is the golden-glow sister of Elli. Both are located in the Syracuse area and now it's Ember's turn to find a family who's ready for a little sunshine, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of personality.

At about 45 pounds and 1–2 years old, this gorgeous Australian Shepherd mix has a stunning golden coat and the most adorable little spot on her tongue that gives her just the right amount of quirky charm.

Now let's talk about Ember's energy... because this girl runs on premium rocket fuel.

When she's out in the yard with other dogs, Ember believes life is one big play-all-day festival. She zooms, she bounces, she invites everyone to the party... and sometimes her dog friends are like “ma'am... please take a nap.”

She's not aggressive at all—just a joyful, goofy girl who hasn't quite learned that other dogs occasionally like things such as... personal space.

But here's the really special part about Ember:

When you take the dog crowd out of the equation, she turns into the sweetest, most devoted companion. Incredibly calm and just gives her sweet eyes at you.

On a leash? Fantastic manners.
One-on-one with her person? Absolute lovebug.
Unsure in new situations? She'll look right back at you for reassurance like you're her whole world. She is exceptionally clean in her crate. She does need some chews or toys to chew on while she's in her crate if she's left for a bit of time.

And if you sit down? Be prepared... because Ember would happily climb straight into your lap and soak up affection for hours.

She is extremely intelligent, very people-focused, and we truly believe in the right home she could excel in training, agility, or any activity that keeps her brain busy. She's the kind of dog that just needs someone to say, “Hey kid, let's learn something fun.”

Her current best buddy on the property is our favorite chill guy Penn, who seems to tolerate her endless enthusiasm like the patient gentleman he is.

Spayed
Up-to-date on vaccines
On preventions
Successfully completed heartworm treatment and now has a clean bill of health

What Ember needs most is a home that appreciates smart, energetic, joyful dogs and is ready to channel that big personality into something wonderful.

Because underneath all those zoomies is a dog who loves deeply, bonds strongly, and just wants her person.

Ember isn't just a dog. She's a spark.
And in the right home, she's going to light up someone's whole world. If you would like her to join your family fill out an adoption application. Her $475 adoption fee covers medical care up to adoption to include vaccines, spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY.
