Elsa's Story

Update! After one whole year with our rescue Elsa keeps us entertained. She's very cute and funny and she had earned up some to us. Occasionally she'll allow a bit of petting if she's laying down with other dogs on the couch, she'll join us all on the bed, she listens to directions overall now like come in, outside, off. We require a very secure fence and a small group of confident dogs would be best. Her fee is negotiable and really this girl is just a tiny little roommate so we would be excited about anyone thick skinned enough to give her a chance with them. She's had it rough. She deserves a happy ending.

Elsa inspires us with her story of adversity and triumph. This little chorkie has quite the story! Born into a neglectful home in Philadelphia she was eventually surrendered to ACCT Philly, after living years in a back yard with 4 other dogs. Together they lived practically feral covered in matts and feces. Once left at the shelter they were separated into individual cages where they went into complete Shut Down mode. Trembling and staring at the corners they each are in poor shape but Elsa clearly the worst. Her slip leash still on her she was in total defense mode. After choosing to cover her with a towel and scoop her up she was put into a transport crate with a family member and instantly her mood improved. It was clear we were in for a long haul. That was in January. Then Elsa surprised us with the birth of her two healthy daughters, Dawn and Eve. They turned 8 weeks and have moved into trial together yay, as have all her Frozen family members! So now it's Elsa's turn!

Elsa is shy but easy to work with. She is super tiny and cute and only about 10 lbs or less. She loves other dogs and does well with dogs of all sizes. She's working on house breaking but had never lived in a home and nohe had been carrying for her kids so we have only just started. While it took quite some time for her to initially warm up she now knows us and continues to improve daily. I think she will be a couch buddy once she is comfortable in a stable home! Seems fine with our cats but does show some prey drive for rabbits. This girl needs someone to love her unconditionally and guide her to becoming her best self! Do you have the touch for a pet that really deserves a happy ending!?

Elsa has been waiting over 2 years. The rescue president has WAIVED her fee. So she is PICK YOUR DONATION ! she needs someone selfless to care for her. There has to be some one out there for her.
