Eloise's Story

Meet Mama Ellie (Eloise), aka Ellie Belle 🤍

Ellie is truly a magical girl. Despite surviving starvation, neglect, physical abuse, and being used for breeding, she still chooses love. Because of her past, Ellie can be fearful and slow to open up. She is so eager for love and attention, but is still learning how to receive it without becoming scared at first. She will need a patient, understanding adopter willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. Earning her trust is a journey — but once you do, you’ll discover the incredibly loving, gentle, and playful girl she truly is.

Ellie does wonderful with other dogs and has recently discovered the joy of playing (zoomies included!). She is the biggest dog in the house but the gentlest soul, especially with the 7-year-old human who she adores and sticks to like glue. She is crate trained and loves her cozy safe space, but will happily curl up at your feet or beside you on the couch once she feels comfortable.

Because of past trauma with being tied up, leash walking is still something she’s learning and will require patience and confidence building. Outside she enjoys being with her people and, like a true guardian breed, she will happily patrol and bark at the world around her.

Ellie will need a special adopter willing to continue helping her heal and reminding her that she is safe. The most beautiful part of Ellie is that once she feels comfortable, she truly settles into the home — becoming happy, affectionate, and deeply connected to her people. In return, Ellie gives a love that is incredibly deep, loyal, and truly one of a kind. 🤍
