Elmo Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mix Clear Lake, IA

Elmo here looking for a forever family to call my own. I am a little guy at just 22 lbs. They say I am a Cavalier King Charles mix (whatever that means). I am a happy little guy and seem to like everyone. I am a little afraid of the big dogs - they are just a little bit too intimidating. I am just a youngster at 4 years old. I am a good boy and do my business outside but my new family will probably have to show me the ropes for their house.

I arrived at the shelter totally covered in fleas and they did a number on my otherwise handsome coat. I am healing up now from all that nasty infestation but everyone tells me it will take a while for my beautiful soft and amazing coat to come back in. Hopefully that won't make you love me any less. The shelter staff has taken care of my flea problem and are giving me nice relaxing baths in some stinky shampoo which they say will make me better (yeah right - they need to live with that smell!)

I love adults - but not so sure about kids - no one has tried me with young kids so that is yet to be seen. I have no clue what that thing is they call a "cat". Another dog my size or smaller would be great - no big dogs please.
