Elly is around 5-6 years old and 28-ish pounds. <br/><br/>Elly is incredibly smart and very trainable - she listens to commands well and has learned new commands, too.<br/><br/>She would thrive with a family who can give her room to roam - whether it be a backyard, patio or open area of the house where she can have a patch of sunlight to sunbathe in. Her favorite activities include chasing after tennis balls, gazing out the window in search of squirrels and birds, and enjoying a good sunbath outside!<br/><br/>Elly loves being close to her people and knowing she’s part of the family, but she also appreciates having her own space and time to relax. Although she'll never say no to a cuddle! She’s the perfect mix of affectionate and independent.<br/><br/>She is also incredibly loyal. On sick days, she'll be by your side day in and day out. And if you work from home, she'll make the best office mate - quietly keeping you company while you work. She has great Zoom etiquette as she never barks for attention.<br/><br/>Elly has lived with a toddler and another dog and has been gentle and loving with both. However, she can sometimes be dog selective (crazy pups aren’t her thing) so calmer dogs are preferred. She would also do great as a solo dog. <br/><br/>Her current family lives in a New York City apartment with two babies and unfortunately cannot give her the time and environment she needs to be her happiest self.
