Ellie-Mae's Story

Hello! Meet Ellie-Mae!

Ellie-Mae is a young herding-breed mix (we suspect Kelpie, ACD, or similar). She shows some adorable herding instincts during play and would thrive in a home that enjoys an active, engaged dog.

Ellie is dog-friendly and enjoys being around other dogs, though she can sometimes be a little overenthusiastic in her mission to make everyone love her. She’s a social butterfly who just wants to be part of the fun!

She absolutely adores people and is incredibly friendly and affectionate — snuggles are one of her favorite things. Ellie does well in a crate, walks nicely on a leash, and has great mealtime manners, happily going to her crate and waiting patiently for food.

Ellie enjoys toys, but when playing with other dogs she prefers a good chase game. When it’s just you and her, she really enjoys playing fetch and engaging one-on-one.

Ellie-Mae would do wonderfully in an active pet home or with someone interested in entry-level dog sports such as dock diving, agility foundations, or trick training. She’s a fun, people-loving girl who’s ready to be someone’s adventure buddy and cuddle companion.

Ellie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is located in Billings, Montana.

If you are interested in adopting Ellie-Mae, please fill out the application on our website at: https://www.westernaustralianshepherdrescue.com/adoption-application.html.

We schedule meet n greets after a completed application which includes a home visit and reference checks
