Ellie's Story
Meet Ellie
Ellie is a sweet senior Boston Terrier, estimated to be between 10–12 years old, who came to us from animal control and has completely stolen our hearts. She is black and white with gentle graying around her muzzle and eyes—little reminders of a life well lived and the wisdom that comes with it.
Ellie is a loving, affectionate girl who truly enjoys the cozy things in life. She loves wearing sweaters, being pampered, and soaking up attention from her people. Her energy level is low, making her a wonderful companion for a quieter home. One of her favorite pastimes is curling up in her dog bed, tucked under a blanket where she can feel safe and warm.
When Ellie arrived, she had several untreated medical conditions. She tested positive for Lyme disease, which she likely had for quite some time, and has since completed treatment. She also has kidney disease and receives regular veterinary monitoring. Since being placed on a prescription kidney diet, her levels have improved, and she will need to remain on this prescription-only diet for the rest of her life—which she happily enjoys. Additionally, Ellie came to us with uveitis that we suspect went untreated for a long period, resulting in partial blindness.
Despite everything she’s been through, Ellie shows us every day just how much she loves life. She gives kisses freely, adores attention, and doesn’t mind being carried around. She is gentle, trusting, and great with everyone she meets, including other dogs and cats.
Ellie is looking for a loving home where she can be cherished, kept comfortable, and continue to enjoy the simple joys she deserves. She may be a senior with medical needs, but her heart is full, and she has so much love left to give.
Adoption application can be found at this link-https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq
