Ella's Story
Ella is about 10 months old on June 1, 2026. She weighs 8 lbs.

Ella is a very high energy pup. She requires a human who has the time, energy and patience to train her, providing a set schedule which includes feeding schedule, potty schedule, exercise schedule. She has not mastered her house training yet, because she hasn't had a stable, set schedule where someone can watch her and catch her on the act.

Ella was found tied up on a chain outside of her owners home. Because she's a high energy puppy, they couldn't deal with her. She was infested with fleas and desperate for attention. This is also why she hasn't mastered her house training.

Ella is smart, but takes time for her to focus because she gets so excited to see her people. She plays well with other dogs of all sizes, and would love to have another dog who likes to play with her. Some dogs get annoyed with her because she can be a little too playful..

She does have some separation anxiety, so apartment living may not be ideal due to possible noise (barking and crying). She is extremely agile and can climb over an xpen or patio railings with ease. She would make a great little agility dog!

She is also great with children BUT having a busy house hold with kids would not be suitable because she really needs to be watched carefully to get her house trained.. it won't take long if her human is diligent!!

She is so small that taking her to off leash dog parks could be dangerous, so please have controlled play dates instead.

She is sweet as pie and we want only the perfect home for her. Home visits are mandatory.

To apply please copy and paste the following link into your web browser
www.lowermainlandhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/

She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, tattooed, microchipped, and had 2 retained baby teeth removed.

Her adoption fee is $695

Please remember that any funds from the adoption fee that go over and above the expenses spent on each dog, goes towards funding other animals that desperately need veterinary care.

Thank you!
