Ella Labrador Retriever Portland, OR

Every day is a great day for Miss Ella! She is a ten year old, 61 lb Lab who was found as a stray and ended up unclaimed in a local shelter. The shelter released her to Rescue to wait out COVID-19 in a foster home. Now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased, she has recently been examined by the Vet and in addition to some arthritis and a few lumps/bumps; she just had a dental cleaning. She has a great sense of humor, she loves to chase the ball and go for car rides. Ella is ready to plop down next to her person, flash a big smile and enjoy life. She is on supplements to put some spring in her step and she is working on losing a few pounds. She does have some leash reactivity and will need some training to meet unknown dogs so she will need an experienced adopter. She is not particularly careful with her body awareness so no children under 5 years old, no cats. She is a Velcro dog and although she is well aware of a crate she much prefers a soft cushy bed…or two…scattered around for her convenience.
