Eliza's Story

www.huskyrescueteam.org

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org

A perfect, petite wooly Husky ready for her forever home

Eliza’s story starts at animal control, where she landed through no fault of her own after an incident involving chickens. (Because of that history, she will not be placed in a home with cats, fowl, or any small pets). But let us tell you why we call her perfect. Eliza is housebroken, non‑destructive, crate trained, affectionate, and wonderfully dog‑friendly — the kind of dog who makes you wonder how she ever ended up in a shelter at all.

She’s a smaller Husky, under 50 pounds, with a beautiful wooly coat that will require regular grooming to keep her comfortable and mat‑free. Eliza has a high energy level and thrives with plenty of exercise and an active lifestyle. She truly loves the company of other dogs, especially those who match her preferred play style — neck play and wrestling. She’s not a fan of mouthy Huskies, but she’s excellent at choosing appropriate friends and reading social cues.

Eliza is affectionate, social, and happiest when she has a person to follow and a routine to enjoy. She doesn't know personal space! She’s the full package: smart, sweet, athletic, and ready to be someone’s adventure buddy. For an active home without small animals, she’s a dream.

Eliza is located in MD.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org
