Elijah German Shepherd Dog Palatine, IL

Hi guys My name is Elijah and I am an stunningly handsome three year old boy who weighs 89#'s. I was originally purchased from a breeder three years ago and then all of a sudden, my family decided they didn't have time for me anymore so they too me to a shelter. Talking about having your world turned upside down! I wet from having a yard, a family, canine siblings and kids to play with to living in a crate at the shelter. I’ve spent time at the doggy daycare and I’m get a long great with dogs of all sizes. My foster mom tells me I am such a great companion and so well behaved. I love to play ball, go on walks and hang out with people. All the kids at the park I go to come up to me with no problem and I really like the attention I get. My foster family really appreciates that I don’t chew anything but my toys, don’t jump on anything and listen to commands. I’m easy going but sometimes I get nervous when people I don’t know come in my house, but I still let them pet me no problem. I’m also not a fan of crates but am working on it. If you are looking for a true companion, sweet (yet typical) German Shepherd to add to your family, look no further because I’m the guy for you!



Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs.
