Einz's Story
IMPORTANT - HOW TO APPLY: If you're interested in meeting Einz, you need to first submit an application on our website: winonahumane.org/adopt. Our Canine Director will then contact you to set up a time to visit (our building is operating with scheduled visits). Please email with any questions about Einz or his adoption process!

Personality description:
Calling all BIG dog people – Einz is looking for his second chance at a happy home. Can you provide a safe, loving home for his golden years?

Einz is a senior Mastiff/Dane mix, weighing in around 150lbs, who came into our care under very sad circumstances of his owner suddenly passing away. The kennel environment was particularly tough on Einz (and his sensitive stomach), but thankfully a foster stepped up to give him the comforts of a temporary home setting, where he now waits for his forever people.

While Einz may be an XL sized dog, he doesn’t feel that way – he actually thinks he’s just a lap-sized baby! He has a very sweet, snuggly nature, preferring to lounge in HUGE, comfortable beds or couches. His other favorite activities include bathtime and playing with tennis balls, and his least favorite is car rides.

Other dogs are a huge plus for Einz, and he may do best in a home with another dog. Living with cats is a bit more questionable and may be more of a case-by-case basis – he’s had mixed interactions, often not recognizing his strength or massive size.

Einz would be happy in nearly any home. He’ll bring his chill energy to every interaction while providing the best companionship. Einz would be grateful for a kind, understanding person who’ll patiently help him transition to this new phase of life. Send in an application on our website to express your interest in being Einz’s happily ever after!

Additional bio info: male, Great Dane/Mastiff mix, approximately 6 years old, 150lbs, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped
