Best in a home with female dog, active owner who likes to walk or jog, hike or bike or dog sports would make him very happy! .

EDDIE COOP was found along with a brother by a Good Samaritan who works at the Bollinger County COOP, farm store in Marble Hill Missouri.

The Good Samaritan family knew who had owned the pups and they didn't care about them or for them. So after several months these two started to mature and wander. When the Good Samaritans could not find homes for them we accepted them in our Project.

They came to us early March, were neutered March 25, at estimated 8-9 months of age, could have been slightly older.

EDDIE is a bit of an alpha at least to his brother or at meal; time with the other dogs.

He will run the fence line of his 32 foot by 16 foot kennel to chase the males in the next kennels for entertainment.

The behavior is more like a wild-man play then aggressive, which is VERY important to understand about EDDIE. But know, he has plenty of fun doing it. Some steady training with pails of water for the chasing or a mild shock collar for this behavior would probably stop the behavior in its tracks.

NOT a fan of a shock collar, but it does have its place, such as chasing vehicles too or livestock when not suppose to.

EDDIE is not a couch potato. He wants an active owner but he is not hyper. He would love a hiker, jogger, regular walker, but no one who works 12 hour shifts coming home exhausted. He would LOVE to be a sport dog. I have video of him learning to jump, which was QUICK and he had so much fun!

He has not been around cats. I think he could be testy with them, but again, he is mellowing out after his neuter so... Not sure..

Again, BEST in a home with a female dog. Probably ok with more than one female. Might be OK with other males, and he is not mean to his brother, but will very seldom spank him over food, etc.

I personally feel he is mellowing out after the neuter.

$250 to adopt, HW negative, shot given is a 5-way, rabies given and microchipped when neutered. Treated for gut worms.
