Eclipse's Story

Introducing Eclipse, a distinctive black and white boy with a touch of gorgeous tan highlights. Eclipse was born on February 9, 2026. He is micro-chipped, has had all of his puppy vaccines, and been de-wormed. He is ready and waiting for his best forever home.

Eclipse likes being part of the puppy pack. He's a rascal and he knows it, always finding ways to be in the thick of things. He finds secret hiding places so he can attack his siblings secretly, obviously a very smart baby boy! He and his brother Nanook spend a lot of time figuring out how to make the yard safer for small puppies. Their running patrols of the puppy area do a good job to frighten off interlopers like leaves and squirrels and tree roots.

Otherwise, Eclipse likes to do normal puppy things - squeak the hedgehog stuffy endlessly, race around chasing, naps, treats (OH BOY, TREATS!!), cuddles in the lap, tunnel and ramp practice, diving for pool toys. You name it, this little guy is game to try anything. He'll be loads of fun to teach tricks and take places.

Eclipse loves, loves, loves people. He also likes other dogs. He'll be a good fit for an active family who wants to include their dog in all their adventures.

Eclipse and his siblings came on transport from Oklahoma. Mom is a black-tri Australian Shepherd dog but we don't know what dad was. We suspect some border collie or cattle dog but other than that, only mom knows.

If you are interested in adopting Eclipse, please fill out the application on our website at: https://www.westernaustralianshepherdrescue.com/adoption-application.html.

We schedule meet n greets after a completed application which includes a home visit and reference checks. We will be looking for forever homes who have a plan for training, exercise, and socialization to help these puppies be their best in most situations.

Eclipse is located in Portland, OR.
