Echo Greyhound & Whippet Mix New Orleans, LA

Meet Echo, a resilient 5-year-old Greyhound mix (our best guess), weighing ~ 31 lbs. Rescued from a rural kill shelter, Echo emerged from a cruelty hoarding case, spending two months patiently waiting for a chance at a normal life. Despite the hardships, Echo is dog, cat, and kid-friendly, craving love and companionship. Currently heartworm positive, her treatment is fully covered by the rescue at our partnered vet. Echo's past is now behind her, and she's ready to embrace a loving family. Vaccinated and now spayed, Echo is eager to become a permanent member of a caring home. She has a gorgeous soft coat and does not seem to shed much.

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
