Ebenezer's Story
Ebenezer entered Humane Society of Imperial County as a stray, and after he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face. Ebenezer is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 38 lbs. On Christmas Day, he received the very special gift:
a loving foster home with one of our wonderful families.

After their first month together, we received this heartwarming update:

"Ebenezer is a sweet, gentle, and delightfully goofy boy who has been doing wonderfully in our home. Despite his serious-sounding name, Ebenezer is anything but grumpy or reserved-his name definitely does not reflect his personality. He is happy, affectionate, silly, and always wagging his tail. He loves companionship and prefers to be in the same room as his people whenever possible.

One of his cutest quirks is his fascination with mirrors-when he catches his reflection, he happily wags his tail as if he's made a new friend. When he sits down with his front paws crossed, he looks like a little gentleman, and it is absolutely adorable. Ebenezer also gets along very well with our dogs.

Ebenezer eats three meals a day with treats in between and has had no issues with eating at all. He is a bit sneaky and will try to snag food from the table or counter if given the chance, so a watchful eye is helpful.

Ebenezer takes his once-daily medication without any trouble-wrapping it in a little salami does the trick every time. Due to heartworm treatment, Ebenezer is currently on limited activity and staying home, so he is not going on walks at this time. Prior to treatment, he did very well on walks and was not reactive to barking dogs.

Ebenezer is usually quiet, but he may sometimes bark when separated in the home (like behind a doggy gate) or when we leave the house. At home, when people walk by-whether they have dogs or not-he usually just watches quietly with his tail wagging.

At night, Ebenezer shows off his silly side. He started out sleeping on a dog bed, but now prefers to sleep tucked under our bed. He's an early riser and pops out from under the bed as soon as we get up for work

We are so happy to foster Ebenezer while he waits for his forever family. He is an incredibly loving, happy boy, and whoever is lucky enough to adopt him will be gaining a true sweetheart."

To meet Ebenezer, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
