Earl Grey Shetland Sheepdog / Sheltie Jackson, WY

Introducing Earl Grey! Earl Grey came into our program from Rock Springs Animal Control. He was surrendered by his previous owners in Rock Springs for unknown reasons. Earl was also brought to us as a medical case with damage to his right ankle. He is a quiet guy who is quite timid when meeting new people. He has expressed some possible fear of men in his foster home and will require slow introductions. He would also do best in a home without children that is very calm and stable. Thanks to our amazing team at Jackson Animal Hospital, he was able to get his ankle assessed by our vet, who believes this is an old injury that was never properly treated and has since become severely infected. He is scheduled for surgery and possible amputation on his right ankle on Friday 3/8. Earl will be available to meet pending his recovery from surgery. To set up a meet and greet, please fill out a dog adoption application ASAP or if you have already submitted one with us, call/email to put your name in line. We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
