Earl's Story

High-energy, playful, and adventure-ready!
Super food motivated & trainable
Loves walks, interactive play, and snuggles
Best suited as the only pet in an active home

Meet Earl: a gorgeous brindle guy with a big heart, a wagging tail, and a joyful, ready-for-anything attitude! We first met Earl after he was abandoned by a previous guardian. He was adopted, but recently came back to HSCC to find a better match when his adopters found that Earl needed more walks and playtime than they could provide.

This playful, people-oriented guy loves to stay active! Whether it's a game of tug, chasing toys, or heading out for a long walk, Earl is happiest when he's on the move with his favorite person. He's very smart and eager to learn (he already knows cues like sit and down!). After a fun adventure, he's equally happy to settle in and relax by your side or soak up some snuggles.

Earl would thrive with an active adopter who can continue his training with consistency and positive reinforcement. He'd do best as the only pet, where he can soak up all the love and attention. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who's always ready for the next outing, Earl can't wait to meet you!

Dogs: Earl is seeking a home where he can be the only pet
Cats: Earl has no known history with cats, but we think he'd do best in a home where he can be the only pet
Kids: Earl has no known history with kids, but we think he'd do best in a home without young kids due to his size & energy level (though he may be a match for a home with teenagers)
-
Ready to adopt your new best friend?
Submit an adoption application today! You'll receive an email with all the next steps. At HSCC, dog adoptions are by appointment, and we'll schedule your counseling session promptly to help you find the pawfect canine companion!

We are also looking for foster placement while awaiting adoption. Please visit hsccvt.org/Foster to learn about fostering for HSCC if you are not already signed up to foster with us!
