MEET DUTTON — THE LITTLE DOG ONCE KNOWN AS COBRA! <br/><br/>Once upon a time, this little guy was known as Cobra.<br/><br/>Not because he was mean.<br/><br/>Not because he was aggressive.<br/><br/>Because he was terrified.<br/><br/>At a rural Oklahoma shelter, Dutton would curl himself into the tightest little ball in the corner of his kennel and try to disappear. Shelter staff nicknamed him Cobra because of the way he would coil up and hide.<br/><br/>But that was never who he really was. <br/><br/>Since coming to Fairy Dogmother Rescue, this handsome little PomChi has made INCREDIBLE progress!<br/><br/>When Dutton arrived, he was severely matted, covered in fleas and ticks, and desperately needed some TLC. He got a complete shave-down, and while his fluffy coat is growing back, something even more beautiful has happened.<br/><br/>He's learning to trust.<br/><br/>The frightened little dog who once wanted to disappear has become an absolute LOVE MUFFIN with the people he knows!<br/><br/>Dutton loves snuggling, exploring, and being wherever his favorite humans are. He's amazingly quiet for a Pomeranian, potty trained, trustworthy in the house, and wonderful with other dogs.<br/><br/>But here's the important part.<br/><br/>Dutton's trust has to be EARNED. <br/><br/>He's come such a long way, but new people can still be scary. He's not the kind of dog who will fall in love with you during a 15-minute meet-and-greet.<br/><br/>He needs patience, consistency, and time to figure out that you're one of the good humans.<br/><br/>And once he does? OH MY GOODNESS!
