Dutchess's Story

Meet Duchess—a young Collie mix with a gentle spirit and a heart full of potential.

Duchess is as graceful as her name suggests. With her soft, expressive eyes and beautiful coat, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her sweet nature that really wins people over. She’s still young, which means she’s curious, playful, and eager to learn about the world around her.

This lovely girl has a calm, affectionate side and enjoys being close to her people, whether that’s lounging at your feet or joining you for a peaceful walk. Like many Collie mixes, Duchess is intelligent and attentive, making her a great candidate for training and bonding activities. She thrives on gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, and she’s already showing signs of being a loyal, devoted companion.

Duchess would do well in a home that can offer her love, patience, and a bit of adventure. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors or settling in for a cozy evening, she’s ready to be by your side through it all.

If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, elegant pup to grow with your family, Duchess might just be your perfect match.

**Duchess has been spayed, vaccinated against Rabies, distemper, and bordetella is heartworm negative and has been dewormed. Duchess will have an adoption fee of $130.55 with an approved adoption application. This fee will cover the cost of her spay, vaccinations given in shelter, dewormer, and heartworm test.

If you'd like to express interest in Duchess, you may submit an adoption application here, however it is not required prior to your arrival:

https://www.libertymissouri.gov/FormCenter/Liberty-Animal-Shelter-7/Liberty-Animal-Shelter-Adoption-Applicat-543

The Liberty Animal Shelter is open Monday, Tuesday 10a to 5p, Wednesday-Friday 10a to 6p, and 10a to 3p on the weekends.

*hours are subject to change*

We cannot guarantee the availability of any particular animal.
