DUNSTON (Neutered!) Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Hound Mix Crossville, TN

DUNSTON is an adorable little fellow. Staff has listed him as a mixture of Cattle Dog and Hound. He is only one to two years old and weighed just 34 pounds at Intake, making him a “lightweight”, medium size dog. He is very sweet and gentle and curious. That combination made him a good match for a couple of other dogs, and he was added to their kennel so that they can play and be friends. Thanks to a partnership between the University of Tennessee and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, DUNSTON was neutered on Monday, April 8. As a result, he can go home the same day, that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
