Dunkin's Story

Dunkin ((Donut)) was brought to our coordinator around Halloween after his owner passed away. The family brought this to the shelter- no one wanted another. dog...... he was up to date on wormers and flea/ tick and heart worm. He ended a few vaccines and to be neutered. We were BEGGED to step in. He was really depressed in the shelter- he had no IDEA where his mum went and why he was in a noisy, stinky, dirty shelter with 200 other BIG BIG dogs.... After all, He only weighs in at 10 pounds!! He was stressing out and shutting down and Keri (our bestest coordinator) caved in - Then she set aside some time to convince me to step up- This little man is. a >>>> snuggle monster-<<<< loves hanging with the people !!! ... watching football... golf... butterflies... birds... whatever your wish, He's down... imagine reading a great book, fireside, cup of tea and a great dog... yeppers!!! Dunkin is YOUR man!

Little Rhody Rescue's Adoption Policy

Simply fill out an application!! You may go to LittleRhodyRescue.com and fill an application there. Or follow this link https://littlerhodyrescue.org/adoption-form/ There are times that the link on the petfinder site does not want to work. APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE CALLING THE RESCUE OR VISITING A DOG AT THE RESCUE. We are a very SMALL group. We will generally attempt to respond to your emails and inquiries within 24- 36 hours. Ahead of time, Please notify your veterinarians office that it is okay to discuss your pets history with their office . Often they will not discuss anything without your permission. Once you have filled out an application, we will call your veterinarian or references, and then call you for an interview- This rescue and quarantine facility is not foster run. All animals are homed and quarantined in a RESIDENTIAL facility. For this reason, we MUST have an application and will arrange an appointment for you to have a meet and greet with the dogs! We are NOT open to the public. We usually hold an adoption event at least once a month!
