Dumpling's Story

Meet Dumpling
At 10 years old, Dumpling is ready for the chapter she deserves most: being someone's beloved companion.
Dumpling's story hasn't always been an easy one. During her lifetime, she was "accidentally" bred multiple times, and her final pregnancy resulted in serious medical complications, which led her owners to post her online as free to a good home. Dumpling underwent emergency surgery the day we rescued her - mammary mass and vaginal polyp removals, vaginal prolapse repair, and a C-section. Unfortunately, the two pups she was pregnant with didn't survive. Despite everything she's been through, Dumpling remains one of the sweetest little dogs you'll ever meet.
Now safe in foster care, Dumpling is showing us exactly who she was always meant to bea loyal, loving shadow dog. Her foster mom says she wants nothing more than to be by your side, following you from room to room and soaking up every bit of attention and affection she can get. She'll even climb in your bag so you don't leave without her (peep the photos for proof)!
Because of her affectionate nature, Dumpling would thrive in a home with someone who works from home, is retired, or simply has plenty of time to spend with her. After a lifetime of caring for others, it's finally Dumpling's turn to be cared for.
If you're looking for a devoted best friend who will love you with her whole heart, Dumpling may be your perfect match.
Let's find this special girl the happy ending she's been waiting for. A link to our application is found on our website outofthewoodsrescue.org.
