He needs a family that is patient and has lots of love for this guy! He isn't a fan of being picked up. In time he will trust and that can be worked on. For now he needs the 3, 3, 3, rule. <br/><br/>The good with Dukie is he loves to snuggle next to you. He does great on a leash. He does well with female dogs. Male dogs take a little more time. He goes on car rides too! His foster is working with him on all of these quirks. Paw Posse Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters fill out an application. If we feel based off the application that they may be a good fit we do a phone interview. If that goes well we do a meet and greet. If there are other dogs involved they are included in the meet and greet. If that goes well we move to the home inspection. If they pass we can process the application. Sometimes dogs don't mesh the first time meeting. We will set up additional meet and greets for the dogs. There may be things in their home that we ask them to change (storage box by a fence, lock on the gate, barrier at the front door). Once we verify these items repaired/in place we will approve the application. We follow up with our adopters regularly. We ask for updated photos and help with any concerns they may be having.
