Duke/Walter's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.26-019 Duke, now known as Walter, is a 9-month-old Golden Retriever. Walter is a tennis ball fanatic who absolutely loves the water. He plays in any water source he can find. He is a goof ball and his favorite toy is his Lamb Chop! In the adopter's words: Walter is a serious momma’s boy and basically my shadow – we’re besties, and he prefers to be right by my side at all times. He’s a huge fan of cuddles, especially belly rubs. He may be scared of almost everything (despite what his very confident bark suggests), but he’s full of personality and charm. Surprisingly, he’s not very food motivated, which still has them perplexed and scratching their heads. But according to the adopters, guess what does motivate him? His balls, car rides, and going for runs at the park with Dad. More than anything, he just wants to be near his people. He truly runs the house in the sweetest way, and we couldn’t have hoped for a more loving, loyal companion.
