Duke Teddy VonLickensniffer Labrador Retriever Mix Powell, OH

My name is Duke Teddy VonLickensniffer. Yes, it's a mouthful so my friends just call me Teddy. I think we could be great friends.

I am about 1 1/2 years old and still very puppy like. Currently, I am a bit underweight at around 50lbs, but should end up around 60 lbs. Eating is my second favorite thing and my foster parents are doing their best to put some meat on my bones. The vet says aside from my weight, I am in great condition and as soon as I fill in I will be King of the dog park.

Because I am a very sweet boy, my favorite thing is getting love and attention. I love to curl up and get snuggles. Belly scratches are a must and I will most likely give you lots of kisses. It’s also fun for me to just be in the same room with you just laying in the corner. Toys and playtime are also great fun. I love other dogs, little kids, and people of all ages. To sum it up, I am just a happy good natured loving good boy. I am a little shy at first, only because I have not experienced a lot of things yet, but I am extremely curious, a real people pleaser and would benefit being with a family who could help me experience new things.

I need a fenced in yard where I can get out my zooomies and spend time laying in the sun and sniffing stuff. While I would be fine anywhere, I have come to really enjoy being around other dogs and am a great playmate.

My journey to foster care was not fun. Seems I spent most of my life on a chain outside. Somewhere along the line, my people must have got busy or moved away and just forgot about me. It was all I could do to break free and make a run for it before I starved. Lucky for me someone found me and put me on the right track.

I am crate and house trained. Although I’ve been known to chew a shoe or two, I’ve been learning how to be respectful of other peoples things. I need structure, guidance and love, and in return I can be a wonderful addition to your family.
