Duke (and Daisy)'s Story
Hi all! My name is Duke (and Daisy). Why am I being listed this way, because I love Daisy and hope that we can be adopted together...please??? I was adopted once and missed Daisy really bad so I came back to AGPR.

Daisy and I arrived at AGPR last year from a Virginia shelter who had no room due to handling a hoarding situation. They begged our friends at AGPR to pretty please take us in. And they did.

Our paperwork is a bit confusing. It claims I am several years older than Daisy but I don't think so. Consensus is we are about 3-ish years old (we act like it). Everyone here at the rescue believe we are siblings...we sure act like it. I love running around the big yard with Daisy and play and do zoomies and bump chests. And then we like to rest and relax together. Both of us are sweet, affectionate and smart, so you better be ready to outsmart us! We do need to perfect our leash walking. We can't help it...we are so excited to go out on walks that we want to get "there" quickly!

Oh, I almost forgot. When I arrived at AGPR, I tested heartworm positive. My friends at AGPR are all in favor of the "slow-kill" method of treatment since it is much less painful and scary for us Pyrs. I tested negative earlier this year! Hurray!!!!

Daisy and I would be happy to grace your home with love and some Pyr fur. Would you be willing to give us a forever home?

All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone!

Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
