Duke's Story
Zen Dog CT decided to help duke after he spent over five hundred days at a very overcrowded rural shelter. The shelter utilizes a veterinary clinic that trains veterinary students and one of the students met him during his spay surgery and fell in love with him. She begged multiple rescues to help, but Duke is just a plain old run of the mill mutt and rescues are overwhelmed, and even finding homes for purebred dogs is difficult. She persisted, because she knew there was something incredibly special about this particular dog. After six months we had an opening, and duke is now in a foster home and thriving, incredibly well adjusted, happy, silly, loves dogs and people and is in general just a wonderful dog.<br/><br/>Zen Dog CT's adoption donation for Duke is $300.
