Dr. Jon suspected an accident that injured his leg and caused neuro injury. Dug is blind. Jon thinks leg may be as good as it can get- may not be possible to repair. Perhaps watch and see.<br/><br/>AEC determined his vision was damaged by early injury, genetic disorder, poison ingestion, or illness. Dug may be able to see shadows.<br/><br/>Dug got better over the two months we had him. He learned to walk, learned to eat from a bowl and drink from a bowl, and learned to navigate his home. He was trying to play with the other dogs and went wild with a giggly ball toy Karen got him. <br/><br/>On June 20th Karen put Dug out for the last break before bed. When bringing in the dogs she noticed Dug looked odd. She thought he was vomiting, but when she picked him up she realized he was having a seizure. He seized all the way to VEG. When I got to VEG 20 mins later he was still seizing. He had a temp of 108 when he got there. He was down to 106 when I got there. It was unlikely he would survive without serious health issues because of the temps. Even with meds he had not stopped seizing. <br/><br/>We euthanized Dug to end his suffering.
