Duck Pit Bull Terrier & Husky Mix Rushville, IL

Duck is a 7-year old husky/pit mix. He is a tall boy weighing 75 lbs. Duck has very unique markings and a tiny sliver of blue in his left eye. He is very strong, but making progress with a pinch collar. Duck loves people of all ages, but seems to be dog selective. He did previously live with a dog.

Update on Duck!
"This dude is already a champ in my book. He was let down by people and came in from poor living conditions with skin issues and could care less there was a person standing in the yard calling his name or throwing a ball just weeks ago when he came to the shelter. He has since learned to play as a dog in this yard and figured out that people are fun to interact with when they carry a huge heart as our volunteers do. So for the 2300 people who have already seen this video (on our Facebook page) he is a loving gentle giant at 77 lbs who is 6 to 7 years old and is ready for his forever family. Skin issues are gone and he is the happiest boy! Come check him out!"

All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are heartworm tested and up to date on distemper, parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. We treat for worms and ear mites as well as flea and tick preventative.

We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
