Drew's Story
Drew, a dog who is really good at self entertaining with toys and then will just lay with the toy at your feet. 45 lbs 4-6 yrs (seems 4-5 shelter guess at her age.)great medium size, white with brindle saddle coat. Boxer/pit mix. Drew is SUPER smart! She’s figured out many puzzle toys, one you have to unscrew to get to the treats! Another had a toy hidden in the toy! She seems more of an inside toy, cuddle dog. Although I did take her to Home Depot and she did great we walked up and down every aisle then went back for another third! But she’s not a fan of this cold so now it’s just out to potty and come make I’m before she melts☺️
She just arrived to Loudoun County from Atlanta this past Saturday 1/17, At her GA. foster she was respectful to her senior dog. She was crated while she was at work. She’s housebroken. She sleeps quietly on the dog bed in the bedroom. Goes into the crate easily. Self entertaining with toys is fun to watch and she’s not needy. She automatically sits when entering the house from the yard or a walk. When they’re cooking she’s easily redirected and goes to lay in the living room. SHe has not jumped on the couch or bed. She would probably love to, but hasn’t attempted it. She was good for her bath. At times, she can be a bit of a shadow but mostly she’s very chill and just hangs out. SHe could use some leash training, as most dogs could. A very unique point is Drew was spayed and neutered. Drew is a hermaphrodite dog. He / she was born with female and male parts. There is nothing medically wrong, just a unicorn of a dog.
Something that was really good to hear from her foster here is that she really doesn’t have many bad traits. She is pretty interested in how good the trash smells, so maybe your trash is in a pantry or under the sink? Please take a look at our Save the Tails FB to see more pictures and videos. We are unsure about cats. We’d suggest kids over 12 yrs since we don’t have history.
*** Adoption Process*** Refer to savethetails.org scroll to Foster / Adoption download the application, save it as a PDF and email it back, please check your spam once you’ve emailed us as we usually end up in spam.
